CNC Plate Processor

Infrastructure Overview

GISF Engineering Private Limited has installed and assembled a German-engineered Kaltenbach CNC Plate Processor, designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern steel fabrication and infrastructure projects. This advanced plate processing system enables high-precision, high-speed, and multi-operation processing under a single setup, ensuring superior quality and reduced turnaround time.

The Kaltenbach CNC Plate Processor is equipped with 2 oxy-fuel (autogen) burners and 2 plasma burners, powered by a Hypertherm HPR 260 plasma source, allowing accurate cutting of thick and thin steel plates with excellent edge quality. The machine supports both oxy-fuel and plasma cutting, making it highly versatile for a wide range of plate thicknesses and material grades.

In addition, the system features two independent CNC drilling units, capable of handling high-performance carbide drilling operations. These units are compatible with KSEM Kennametal carbide drills, solid carbide drills from Hartner, and HSS inner coolant drills, ensuring efficient and precise drilling even in heavy plates.

This integrated steel plate processing center allows multiple operations such as:

  • Plate marking for easy identification and assembly

  • High-precision drilling and countersinking

  • Thread cutting and hole lowering

  • Processing of tear sheets

  • Oxy-fuel and plasma cutting of complex plate profiles

By combining cutting, drilling, and marking operations in a single machine, GISF significantly improves productivity, minimizes manual handling, and ensures consistent dimensional accuracy. This capability plays a crucial role in meeting strict project timelines and quality standards for power plants, refineries, bridges, and heavy infrastructure projects.
