Environmental Health & Safety Policy

OBJECTIVES
The following objectives define the Environmental Health & Safety (HSE) framework implemented across all GISF operations to ensure a safe, compliant, and environmentally responsible workplace:

1. Managers and employees are fully accountable for the HSE performance of the organization, including effective implementation, communication, and continual improvement of the HSEQ Policy and achievement of defined HSE objectives.

2. Management ensures full compliance with all applicable HSE laws, regulations, statutory requirements, and permits, which are consistently maintained across all GISF operations.

3. Comprehensive HSE inductions are conducted for managers, employees, contractors, and visitors, addressing relevant HSE objectives, hazards, risks, control measures, and expected safe behaviors.

4. Competency-based training programs and regular assessments are implemented for all roles where critical HSE tasks or activities have been identified, ensuring personnel are suitably skilled and qualified.

5. All internal and external HSE-related complaints arising from the Group’s operations are formally recorded, acknowledged, investigated, and managed as incidents to prevent recurrence.

6. Hazards and risks are systematically identified, evaluated, prioritized, and controlled through a structured risk management process, covering both routine and non-routine work activities.

7. Outcomes of hazard identification, risk assessments, and control measures are considered during the development, implementation, and periodic review of emergency response plans and procedures.

8. Documented procedures are maintained to ensure timely reporting, investigation, corrective action, mitigation, and effective communication of all HSE incidents and near-miss events.

9. Processes are established to identify, evaluate, and determine the significance of environmental aspects and impacts associated with operations, projects, equipment, materials, and services.

10. Pollution prevention and waste minimization programs are developed, implemented, and continuously improved to eliminate, reduce, reuse, recycle, treat, or safely dispose of waste in an environmentally responsible manner.
