Sadbhav Yamunanagar – Panchkula NH-344 Canal & Railway ROB Project

About this Project

GISF Engineering Pvt. Ltd. successfully executed a key bridge infrastructure project for the Yamunanagar–Panchkula NH-344 six-lane highway development, significantly improving road connectivity between the two cities. The project involved fabrication and supply of Composite Girder Road Over Bridges (ROB) over both canal and railway crossings, forming a critical part of the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) corridor.

Certified by the Research Designs & Standards Organisation (RDSO), GISF is fully equipped to execute complex bridge fabrication works that comply with railway and highway engineering standards. This project further demonstrates GISF’s expertise in delivering high-quality bridge structures for mixed-utility crossings under tight technical and safety requirements.

Client

Sadbhav Infrastructure Limited

Sadbhav Infrastructure Limited, a reputed EPC company in India’s infrastructure sector, awarded GISF Engineering the contract for fabrication and supply of composite girder structures for the NH-344 Canal and Railway ROB project. The collaboration reflects Sadbhav’s confidence in GISF’s engineering strength, fabrication quality, and experience in executing bridge projects of strategic importance.

Project Location

NH 344 Yamunanagar Panchkula
Yamunanagar – Panchkula, Haryana, India

The NH-344 corridor serves as a vital road link between Yamunanagar and Panchkula, facilitating smoother movement of commercial and passenger traffic across northern Haryana.

Scope of Work

GISF Engineering’s scope of work for the project included:

  • Fabrication and supply of Composite Girder (CG) structures

  • Manufacturing of steel girders for canal and railway Road Over Bridges

  • Execution as per RDSO, railway, and highway standards

  • Precision fabrication with strict dimensional control

  • Quality inspection, surface preparation, and dispatch

GISF successfully fabricated and supplied three spans of composite girders with lengths of 18 meters, 30 meters, and 45 meters respectively. The total steel fabricated and supplied for the project exceeded 1000 metric tonnes, meeting the project’s structural and performance requirements.

Project Impact & Significance

  • Total Steel Supplied: 1000+ MT

  • Span Configuration: 18 m, 30 m, and 45 m

  • Bridge Type: Composite Girder ROB (Canal & Railway)

The completion of this ROB project has significantly reduced travel time between Yamunanagar and Panchkula by eliminating traffic congestion at railway and canal crossings. The improved road connectivity enhances commuter safety, supports regional trade, and strengthens overall transportation efficiency in the region.

Engineering Excellence & Quality Assurance

All fabrication activities were carried out at GISF Engineering’s advanced manufacturing facility using CNC-controlled machines, qualified welding procedures, and stringent quality assurance systems. Stage-wise inspections, material traceability, and dimensional accuracy checks ensured full compliance with approved drawings and standards.

Given the involvement of railway crossings, special attention was paid to safety norms, load-bearing capacity, and long-term durability of the composite girder structures.

Key Highlights

  • Fabrication of Composite Girder ROB structures

  • Supply of 1000+ MT of fabricated steel

  • Execution for an NHAI six-lane highway project

  • RDSO-certified bridge fabrication processes

  • Improved regional connectivity and reduced travel time

Conclusion

The Sadbhav Yamunanagar – Panchkula NH-344 Canal and Railway ROB Project stands as a notable achievement in GISF Engineering Pvt. Ltd.’s bridge infrastructure portfolio. By delivering high-quality composite girder bridges for a critical highway corridor, GISF reinforced its position as a reliable fabrication partner for complex road and railway infrastructure projects across India. The project reflects GISF’s commitment to engineering excellence, safety, and timely execution.
