Khalsa Heritage Complex
Anandpur Sahib, Punjab, India
Anandpur Sahib is one of the most sacred cities in Sikhism. The Khalsa Heritage Complex, also known as Virasat-e-Khalsa, stands as a cultural and historical landmark attracting visitors from across the world.
The Khalsa Heritage Complex was designed by Moshe Safdie, a world-renowned architect celebrated for blending modern design with cultural and historical context. The complex commemorates 500 years of Sikh history and marks the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Khalsa, making it one of the most symbolically important heritage projects in India.
GISF Engineering’s scope of work for the project included fabrication and supply of specialized structural and architectural components, such as:
Supply of over 1000 square meters of steel formwork
Formwork for pathways and roof structures
Manufacturing and supply of stainless steel fixing clamps for stone cladding
Precision fabrication to meet architectural and finishing requirements
Quality checks to ensure durability and long-term performance
In addition to formwork, GISF supplied approximately half a million stainless steel fixing clamps, which were used extensively in stone cladding works. These components played a crucial role in achieving the complex’s distinctive architectural finish while ensuring structural stability.
All components were fabricated at GISF Engineering’s advanced manufacturing facility using controlled fabrication processes and strict quality assurance systems. Given the architectural sensitivity of the project, special emphasis was placed on dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and material quality.
GISF’s experienced engineering and production teams ensured that all supplied components aligned seamlessly with the architectural vision and construction requirements of the heritage complex.
